Real talk,

Let’s get into the nitty gritty.

Hello lovelies! Your friendly neighborhood lettering lady here. I’ll try and keep this semi-short and sweet.

To me, BusyBree Design was *really* born in the fall of 2013. I had just received by Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design and I. WAS. PUMPED. After a couple years of working within the industry as a designer I decided ‘I can totally do this on my own!’ I wanted my own little adventure.

Fast forward.

I took the plunge and BusyBree Design opened it’s digital doors *officially* late April 2016. The sun was shining and the birds were singing! I bumbled my way, learning what I thought were “all of the small business things”. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed. Social media, contracts, invoicing, taxes, (oh my god, taxes), blogging, outreach, equipment, photography, seo— research, research, research. Which, shocker, is a whole lot for a person without a clear direction. My expectations did not meet my reality and all of my aimless bumbling did not get me anywhere. I started comparing instead of actually creating and my beautiful little shop had to be put on hold.

Fast forward once more.

The year is 2019. The bees are yet again buzzing, with a fresh mindset. No longer striving for perfection because who the heck is? Here’s to not obsessing and focusing on what’s important: creating. Just an infj, enneagram 4, with her head in the clouds who wants to make cute + quirky things that make people happy.

Stay weird, friends.

xo, Bree
